Our Story
In 2019, their journey began with a simple act of compassion – with the creation of the SOW Project caring for strangers, orphans and widows. Little did they know, this initial step would set the stage for a transformative path ahead.
As the world grappled with the aftermath of Covid-19, their hearts were stirred to action. Driven by a profound sense of empathy, they aided Kameeldrift Trauma Support. Through this endeavor, they witnessed firsthand the profound impact of trauma on individuals, especially children.
It was during this time that they stumbled upon a harsh reality: the heartbreaking shortage of safe havens for vulnerable children. Inspired by their experiences, Chris and Elmari decided to turn their empathy into tangible change. In 2023, they opened their doors and hearts to those in need, establishing a sanctuary of hope and warmth within their own home.
Since then, their home has become a beacon of light for children from varied walks of life. With each passing day, their family grows, as does their commitment to providing a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and cherished.
Currently, they house a diverse group of children, each with their own unique story and journey. They strive to create a space where laughter echoes louder than past sorrows, and dreams soar higher than any obstacle.
Central to their mission is the belief in the power of education and play. In their home, they have carved out a dedicated space where children can unleash their curiosity, explore their creativity, and ignite their imaginations. Our Nursery
